Shimla Mall Road and Ridge Maidan were suddenly evacuated on the eve of the New Year which has created panic among the tourist in the Shimla City. Police Force has been deployed at the Mall Road and area near Ridge Maidan.
All the entries have been closed and no one is allowed in the area, even the restaurants were shut down. Metal detectors are placed in the area, however the district administration and police has not confirmed anything yet.
Mobile bomb dosposal unit, dog squads were also spotted in the area but due to lack of clarity we can not make any statement.
Due to New Year’s eve the Shimla Mall Road and Ridge Maidan becomes one of the most crowded places in India as most of the tourist came here to enjoy the New Year celebration.
The Cause behind this has not been confirmed yet but this is definitely not due to the covid as Mobile bomb disposal unit, dog squads and metal detectors were seen.
